RFEM allows for realistic assessment of structural behaviour of masonry.
For this, it is possible to define the nonlinear material model "Isotropic Masonry 2D" using the RF‑MAT NL add‑on module, which causes failure when exceeding limit stresses.
Design general cold-formed sections with the SHAPE-THIN 9 stand-alone program and the RF-/STEEL Cold-Formed Sections add-on module according to EN 1993-1-3 and EN 1993-1-5.
In RFEM, it is possible to consider different soil models, such as the subgrade reaction modulus method, stiffness modulus method (RF‑SOILIN), modified two-parametric soil models, and many others.
In particular, it is recommended to apply the stiffness modulus method using RF‑SOILIN, as it represents the soil structure in a realistic way and the subgrade reaction modulus is determined interdependently of the load.
The structural analysis programs RFEM and RSTAB as well as the stand-alone program SHAPE-THIN 9 perform the design of facade structures such as glass facades, curtain walls, double facades, element facades, etc.
Design different foundation types such as foundation plates, single foundations, bucket foundations, and block foundations in RFEM and RSTAB as well as the RF-/FOUNDATION Pro add-on module.
Consider strip foundations as members with elastic foundations. Define elastic surface foundations for surfaces. The RF-SOILIN add-on module for RFEM determines the elastic foundation by means of soil layers.
