RFEM allows for realistic assessment of structural behavior of masonry.
For this, it is possible to define the nonlinear material model "Isotropic Masonry 2D" using the RF‑MAT NL add‑on module, which causes failure when exceeding limit stresses.
In RFEM, it is possible to consider different soil models, such as the subgrade reaction modulus method, nonlinear iterative soil bodies (Geotechnical Analysis for RFEM 6), modified two-parametric soil models, and many others.
In particular, it is recommended to apply the stiffness modulus method using the add-on Geotechnical Analysis for RFEM 6, as it represents the soil structure in a realistic way and the subgrade reaction modulus is determined interdependently of the load.
Design different foundation types such as foundation plates, single foundations, bucket foundations, and block foundations in RFEM 5 and RSTAB 8 using the RF‑/FOUNDATION Pro add-on module.
The Geotechnical Analysis add-on for RFEM 6 uses the properties from soil samples to determine the soil body to be analyzed. The realistic determination of the soil conditions significantly influences the quality of the structural analysis of buildings.
