Structural Analysis & Design Software for Temporary Structures

Structural Engineering Software for Temporary and Semi-Permanent Structures

If you are planning temporary structures, the Dlubal programs RFEM and RSTAB are your best choice for the structural analysis and design. Temporary structures are technical facilities built for a certain time period and then dismantled. These facilities, and especially fairground rides, must satisfy certain structural and constructional requirements ensuring their safe operation, and they are thus subjected to special legal test specifications, as Rely on RFEM and RSTAB as efficient and easy-to-use tools for your calculations.

Structural FEM Analysis and Design

The successful structural analysis program RFEM 6 by Dlubal Software is the basis of a modular program family that you can customize and combine according to your personal requirements. In the main program RFEM, you can define structures, materials, and loads of planar and spatial structural systems consisting of plates, walls, shells, and members. Furthermore, you can create combined structures as well as model solid and contact elements.

Structural Frame & Truss Analysis Software

Use the Dlubal spatial frame & truss analysis software RSTAB 9 if you need a special solution tailored to beam, frame, and truss structures. Due to the special attention to such structures, it is even easier to use than the FEA software RFEM. This program has been the best choice for structural analysis and design of pure structural member models for many years.

Wind Simulation and Wind Load Generation

Do your structures have to withstand every gust of wind? Then it is best to use the Dlubal stand-alone program RWIND 2. It is particularly recommended for complex model shapes. There are wind flows around all structures simulated in a digital wind tunnel.

You can easily import your generated wind loads acting on these objects into RFEM or RSTAB. Thus, you can complete your project there.

Add-ons and Add-on Modules for Design of Temporary Structures

Depending on the material used, we recommend the add-ons and add-on modules of the Steel Structures, Aluminum and Lightweight Structures, and Tensile Membrane Structures industries for the structural analysis and design of temporary structures.

Temporary structures require special legal, structural, and design requirements in Germany, which are defined in the standards DIN EN 13782 and DIN EN 13814 (formerly DIN 4112), the "Temporary Structures Guideline" (FlBauR) as well as in the regional building regulations of the federal states. The Euronorms have not yet been introduced into construction law, so DIN 4134:1983‑02 is the governing standard for design.

Interfaces for Data Exchange

The Dlubal structural analysis software can be integrated seamlessly into the Building Information Modeling (BIM) process. The large number of interfaces allows you to exchange the data of digital building models with RFEM or RSTAB.

Use the Webservice (a programmable interface) to read or write the data from or to RFEM and RSTAB.
