Deformations can be determined for members, surfaces and solids and refer either to the local coordinate system of the respective element or to the global coordinate system.
Deformations can comprise of elastic and plastic components.
In the case of the RFEM and RSTAB results, the deformations are usually from a linear-elastic calculation. Deformations considering plastic material models can be determined using the RF‑MAT NL add‑on module. Deformations in cracked sections (state II) in reinforced concrete structures can be calculated either with RF‑CONCRETE Deflect or RF‑CONCRETE NL.
