Basic Reinforcement

Glossary Term

A basic reinforcement is a reinforcement that can be preset by a user before the start of the design.

The basic reinforcement is taken into account as the minimum value of the provided reinforcement at each element of a surface (surface design) or at each x-position of a member (member design), even if the degree of the required reinforcement would be lower in the calculation.

The basic reinforcement can be defined in all RFEM/RSTAB add-on modules for the reinforced concrete design.
