In addition to our technical support (e.g. via chat), you’ll find resources on our website that may help you with your design using Dlubal Software.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Customer Support 24/7
No, both the normal area loads and the free loads can be defined only on the local surface axis or in relation to the global axis system. Specifying the load direction in relation to a user-defined coordinate system is not possible.
Whether you display a load with a cross or a circle is decided by the viewing direction. If the viewing direction of the load follows, a cross is displayed. However, if the viewing direction is opposite to the load direction, a circle is displayed.
The projection plane and the load direction are different parameters and independent of each other.
While the load direction represents the actual direction of the acting load, the projection plane, together with the corresponding coordinates of the load position, describes the plane from which the load's position is projected onto the loaded surfaces.
The graphic to the right in the "Edit Free Rectangular Load" dialog box is used for information purposes, see Figure 1.
The S force and the HS forces must always be entered with the correct sign. The orientation of these forces can be checked graphically in Window '1.5 Load Combinations' or by using the [3D Rendering] button and displaying the load block No. 5.

Wind Simulation & Wind Load Generation
With the stand-alone program RWIND Simulation, wind flows around simple or complex structures can be simulated by means of a digital wind tunnel.
The generated wind loads acting on these objects can be imported to RFEM or RSTAB.
Your support is by far the best
“Thank you very much for the useful information.
I would like to pay a compliment to your support team. I am always impressed how quickly and professionally the questions are answered. In the industry of structural analysis, I use several software including service contract, but your support is by far the best.”
