The default path for the RWIND Simulation projects created by RFEM/RSTAB is C:\Users\Public\Documents\Dlubal\RWIND Simulation 1.x\ProjectsRX.
You can adjust this path in the "Program Options" dialog box.
This setting can be found in the menu "Options" → "Program Options," tab "Files and Directories," category "RWIND Simulation projects created by RFEM/RSTAB."
Yes, it is possible, for example, if a file (calculated in version 5.23.01) is opened in an older version (such as 5.20.01).
The add-on modules for reinforced concrete structures have no backward compatibility. This means that the module entries must be deleted, depending on the version change.
For instance, this may be necessary if there is a function or a feature contained in the latest program version, which was not yet available in the older version. To avoid compatibility problems, the entries in the add-on modules are removed.
In the example, the file from version 5.23.01 is opened in version 5.20.01. In this case, the entries from RF‑CONCRETE Surfaces will be lost. If you open it in the version 5.17.01, for example, the entries from RF‑CONCRETE Members is also lost.
To avoid the problem, it is recommended to conclude a service contract and use the current version of RFEM.

In general, we recommend to use the English program interface if you want to create a printout report in English. In this way, the most of the report should be displayed in English. However, this does apply to the descriptions that have been previously created in German. These would have to be changed manually.
AnswerThe license provided by Dlubal Software for students contains all of the standard programs, including the add-on modules. Just download the required program installation from your account on our website (see the video), install it and run it. The only exception is the SHAPE‑MASSIVE program, which is only available with a hardware key for technical reasons.

AnswerThe differences resulting from the determination of the deformation in the cracked state can have various causes. In the case of deviations, you should check the following points:
Is the same calculation method applied?
RF-CONCRETE Deflect uses the analytical analysis approach according to EN 1992‑1‑1, 7.4.3.RF-CONCRETE NL uses the physically nonlinear analysis approach.You can find more information about the calculation methods in Chapter 2.7 and Chapter 2.8 of the RF‑CONCRETE Surfaces manual.
Is the same initial structure available?
If considering the underlying structural system as equivalent, the results of the linear calculation can be considered in the best way. The linearly determined deformation of the underlying combination should be approximately equal. Possible differences in the linear deformation may be increased in the cracked state in connection with the deformation analysis.
Are the same effects taken into account?
When comparing, make sure that the same effects, such as creeping and shrinkage, are taken into account (Figure 02).
Are the same initial values available?
In connection with the deformation analysis, you should further check if the same initial values are available. In this case, a special attention has to be paid to the fact whether the applied reinforcement (Figure 03) and the lever arm or the concrete cover are the same.
