Disregarding Rib Components

Tips & Tricks

In most models of reinforced concrete buildings, ribs are modeled, and then the analysis is carried out on the T‑beam. If you then also design the plates, the required reinforcement within the effective plate width of the ribs is redetermined.

Until now, the rib components could be hidden only for the graphical results display. To avoid misunderstandings between tabular and graphical results output, the RF‑CONCRETE Surfaces add‑on module allows you to disregard the rib components in the ULS and the analytical SLS calculation.
