Troubleshooting Generation of FE Meshes
Tips & Tricks
It can happen that it is not possible to generate FE mesh for a model. A reason for this can be that the tolerance for the automatic integration of nodes in lines is set too coarse.
The solution for this problem can look as follows: In the FE Settings, you have selected epsilon 0.001 m for this. However, there are evidently nodes in the model which lie closer to each other. Therefore, you can start the “Model Check” on the “Tools” menu, and then search for identical nodes with the distance epsilon. Most likely, nodes will be found. For the problematic nodes, you can now create a view, and then decide whether you want to unify the problematic nodes or delete a node that is not used. Then, the generation of the mesh should work.
