I have a question about the shear design with provided basic reinforcement: I think that the design value of the shear force resistance VRd,c, the same floor thickness being equal, should be constant, if you specify a basic reinforcement. However, this is not the case in our model. What is the reason for this?

RF-CONCRETE Surfaces first always checks whether the required reinforcement is sufficient to resist the shear.

When using the first option, "Apply the required longitudinal reinforcement," you can see that the required reinforcement is already sufficient for a large part of the surface to ensure the shear resistance.

For this reason, the required and not the basic reinforcement is used when determining VRd,c.
