The project of reinforcing the crane bridge dating from 1924 required a complete structural recalculation.

Structure

The original steel structure of the crane bridge in the Mannheim harbour, Germany, has been built in 1924. Recently, it was to be equipped with a new upper crane.

The lifting capacity of the crane bridge is 6 t.

Structural Planning

Since there were no drawings or structural documents remained, the bridge had to be redesigned completely.

Engineering office Burgdorf, the customer of Dlubal Software, was responsible for the control calculations as well as the structure of the necessary reinforcement.
