FAQ 5725 | Location of Result Beam Influencing Moment

Location of a result beam with impact on internal forces

The result beam should be located at the center of gravity of a cross-section in order to obtain accurate calculation results. Moving the beam away from the center of gravity will lead to deviating results, which can impair the precision of the analysis. This must be taken into account when designing and performing structural analysis.
