Second place in the DACH region of the Dlubal Community Awards 2026 goes to Bollinger+Grohmann. The project is the modular timber roof of a REWE supermarket in Königs Wusterhausen, Germany. It is a beam grid of BauBuche beech laminated veneer lumber with beams of varying depth, and the roof surface above is open to the public. The geometry was developed parametrically in Grasshopper and Rhino. The whole grid, including the stiffness of its connections, was analyzed in RFEM 6.
