  • RS-COM - Critical Load Factor

    Is it possible to export the critical load factor from RSTAB 8.14 to my excel workbook using RS-COM and VBA on excel? I've created the model and then run the analysis on RSTAB, I activated the incrementally increasing loading. I just need to get the results to my workbook, I haven't had any luck yet.

    Hello,

    yes, this is possible. Please take a look on the examples in our SDK directory, which is found here:

    C:\Users\Public\Documents\Dlubal\SDK\

    There is an example for RF-STABILITY located here:

    Examples\RFEM\Excel\RF-STABILITY.xlsm

    In this example you can see and learn how to get the results from RF-STABILITY into EXCEL.

      Hello Thomas,

      Thank you for the reply. I can not find the RF-Stabiltity workbook on my files. I'm only using RSTAB and RS-COM, I don't have any add-on modules I don't know if that is why I don't have the file. I have managed to get some other results from the RSTAB examples but I cant find the one to get the critical load factor from the results summary.

        Hello,

        the SDK directory is always installed independent of the licence. But if you don't have RF-STABILITY you cannot determine the critical load factor.

          Hi,

          I have the RSTAB 8.14. I got the critical buckling load of the load combination, I activated the calculation for the incrementally increasing loading from the calculation parameters of my load combination. I have attached two pictures to show the value I want to get from RSTAB.

              I'm sorry but this factor is not readable via the COM interface. The only option you have is to write a routine which does the same incrementally increasing loading.

                        I'm working on running the analysis on a routine as we speak, will let you know if I'm successful.
                        What about exporting the results tables into excel, is that something RS-COM can do?
