Floor Analysis as Detached 2D Structures
Using the Building Model add-on, you can view all floors of a 3D building with regular ground plan as a separate 2D structural system. To do this, you define floor sets. The support forces are transferred to the underlying walls and columns for the load transfer.

Component "Member Editor"
The "Member Editor" component allows you to modify member plates in the Steel Joints add-on. You can use the chamfer, notch, rounding, and hole operations with multiple shapes. In this way, you can notch flanges from I-sections, for example (see the image).

Guidelines for Grid View of Buildings
Create guidelines with or without a description for the display of a building grid! You can lock the guideline position to prevent accidental moving of them, for example. Furthermore, you can glue the guidelines to nodes in order to move the glued nodes as well. That makes your work a lot easier!

Parasol Tree House at Festival des Cabanes in Rome
This year, the Festival des Cabanes is marked by the timbe tower structure with a height of 13 m that should collect rainwater to gradually redistribute it. The tower's shape looks like a funnel, with a widened lower part over 3.60 m and an upper part that is about 7 m high, including three cantilever wings.

Results Evaluation in RFEM 6: Result Smoothing
The results for the FE mesh nodes are determined in RFEM 6 using the finite element method. The nodal values are smoothed by interpolation in order to continuously represent internal forces. This article presents different types of result smoothing and their mutual comparison.
