Removable guyed masts are used not only for telecommunications purposes, but also for collecting wind data in order to evaluate the profitability of a planned wind farm. Such removable and permanent towers can reach heights of up to 492 ft and are mounted at the planned windmill height in uninhabited areas.

In June 2018, a new and unique lookout tower by the world-famous architect Martin Rajniš was opened in the Prague municipal district Kyje. When designing the tower, maximum emphasis was placed on natural and renewable material use.

The lookout tower structure is constructed with 3.15 in diameter acacia logs.  The main supporting structure includes three legs where a spiral staircase is also suspended. The tower legs are made of a lattice structure in the shape of an elongated barrel. At the top, the legs are interconnected with three steel hoops and a triangular steel structure.

The tower is 77.1 ft high with the observation platform located 65.5 feet above the ground elevation. The observation tower can hold up to 9 people during typical operations.

In the Chinese province of Qinghai, near the city of Haixi, a complex of 23 multi-energy plants is being built, combining different technologies to generate energy from renewable resources. The complex comprises a 618.4 ft high tower of the 50-MW solar power plant whose support structure is expected to be completed in mid-2019.

The solar power plant uses a modern CSP (Concentrated Solar Power) technology, which enables the storage of thermal solar energy, thus ensuring continuous power generation even at night.

The tree-top trail in the Giant Mountains (Czech: Krkonoše) is the second experience path of eak (Erlebnis Akademie AG) in the Czech Republic.

Over a length of 4922 ft, it twists through the treetops of the mixed mountain forest. It ends at a look-out tower with a height of around 141 ft, and its platform offers a breathtaking view over the Krkonoše National Park.

The look-out tower with a height of over 131 ft is located in Ebrach (Upper Franconia), in the heart of the Steigerwald. The Steigerwald is after the Spessart the second largest deciduous forest area in Bavaria. 300-year-old beeches, amongst the oldest in Germany, soar into the sky with more than 131 feet.

A wooden lookout tower called Ester was inaugurated in Jerusalem in mid-November 2017. The tower in the shape of a blooming cactus, designed by the renowned Czech architect Martin Rajniš, is located in the gardens of a former hospital, built in 1887, not far from the walls of the Old City. It offers visitors a spectacular view over Jerusalem.

With the height of about 137.8 ft, the look‑out tower offers a unique view over the landscape of the Saar-Hunsrück Nature Park, into the Saar Bow valley and, if the visibility is clear, even as far as the Vosges Mountains. The tower is the highlight of the tree‑top trail with a length of 4,101 ft, which allows for walks up to 75.5 ft above the forest level.

A unique structure called Sky Walk has been built in Dolní Morava, Czech Republic, under the Králický Sněžník mountain at a height of 3,661.4 ft, and is unprecedented in Central Europe.

The Sky Walk is a look‑out trail leading up to 192 ft above the surrounding hilly terrain level. It is visible from a distance of several miles. The architectural design was created by the famous Czech architect Zdeněk Fránek. The Czech company TAROS‑NOVA s.r.o., a customer of Dlubal Software, was responsible for structural engineering and construction.

In September 2015, the nature discovery park Panarbora was opened near Cologne. A highlight of the park is the 40 meter high 12‑sided look‑out tower made of glued‑laminated timber which offers the visitors a breathtaking view over the Bergische Land.
