German DIN Standards

The following DIN standards are implemented in structural analysis programs by Dlubal Software:


  • DIN 1055-100 (load cases/load combinations)
  • DIN 1045-1 (reinforced concrete structures)
  • DIN 18800 (steel structures)
  • DIN 1052 (timber structures)
  • DIN 4149 (earthquake)

The DIN standards are no longer valid, but may be required for the design verification of the existing buildings. The Eurocodes are used for new buildings in Germany.

Timber Design According to DIN 1052

If you want your timber structures to surely withstand the test of time, you've come to the right place. The RF-/TIMBER Pro add-on module for RFEM 5 / RSTAB 8 performs all typical design checks of the ultimate limit state, stability, serviceability limit state, and fire resistance of timber members according to the German standard DIN 1052:2008‑12.

You can rely on these add-on modules, so even if the ground trembles, nothing collapses.

Use the RF-/DYNAM Pro - Natural Vibrations add-on moduel for RFEM 5 / RSTAB 8 to determine natural frequencies and mode shapes.

The RF-/DYNAM Pro - Equivalent Loads module extension for RFEM 5 / RSTAB 8 generates equivalent seismic loads according to the multimodal response spectrum analysis. Among others, the German standards DIN 4149‑1:1981‑04 and DIN 4149‑1:2005 04 are implemented.
