German DIN Standards

The following DIN standards are implemented in the programs by Dlubal Software:

  • DIN 1055‑100
    (Load cases / load combinations)
  • DIN 1045‑1
    (Concrete structures)
  • DIN 18800
    (Steel structures)
  • DIN 1052
    (Timber structures)
  • DIN 4149
    (Earthquake resistance)

DIN standards are no longer valid but they may be required for the design verification of existing buildings. In Germany, Eurocodes are used for new buildings.

Structural Design According to DIN Standards

In Germany, structures are designed according to Eurocodes and the relevant German National Annexes (DIN EN). However, the verification of designed and built structures may require to use the DIN standards that are not valid anymore. Therefore, these DIN standards are supported by Dlubal Software products.

Implemented DIN Standards

  1. Basic combination

    Automatic Creation of Combinations in RFEM and RSTAB

    In RFEM and RSTAB, the load and result combinations are automatically created according to the following German standards:

    • DIN 1055-100
    • DIN 1055-100 + DIN 1052
    • DIN 1052 (simplified)
    • DIN 18800 
  2. Reinforcement in 3D rendering

    Design of Reinforced Concrete Members and Surfaces According to DIN 1045-1

    DIN 1045-1 for RFEM/RSTAB extends various concrete modules with the following German standards:

    • DIN 1045-1:2008-08
    • DIN 1045-1:1988-07
  3. Design results of RF-/STEEL in 3D rendering

    Steel Design According to DIN 18800

    RF-/STEEL performs stress analysis of members and surfaces according to the German standard DIN 18800.

  4. Timber design according to DIN 1052

    Timber Design According to DIN 1052

    RF-/TIMBER Pro performs all typical designs of the ultimate limit state, serviceability limit state, stability analysis, and fire resistance design of timber structures according to the German standard DIN 1052:2008‑12.

  5. Natural vibrations of housing complex (C) www.rubner.com

    Earthquake Resistance Design According to DIN 4149-1

    RF-/DYNAM Pro - Natural Vibrations determines natural frequencies and mode shapes.

    RF-/DYNAM Pro - Equivalent Loads generates equivalent lateral loads for earthquakes using multimodal response spectrum analysis according to the German standards DIN 4149‑1:1981‑04 and DIN 4149‑1:2005‑04.
