Question

Is it necessary to define column imperfections as a load case in RFEM/RSTAB when using the CONCRETE or RF‑CONCRETE Members add-on module?

Answer

The CONCRETE/RF-CONCRETE Members add-on module analyzes members using the nominal curvature method, which considers the unintentional eccentricity. Therefore, it is not necessary to define an imperfection load case in RFEM/RSTAB.
