An impressive roof structure was constructed over the Passion Play open-air theatre in Sömmersdorf, Franconia (Germany). The self-supporting spatial steel structure includes a PVC membrane roof covering the 1,385 m2 auditorium. Only four foundations in total support the entire roof structure.

The entrance structure to the dinosaur park Kleinwelka near Bautzen, Germany has a total height of 22 m and resembles mitosis. Mitosis is a type of cell division and the origin of life. The bionic structure consists of 1,389 steel tube members assembled together at 269 joints.

The project St. Josef in Holzkirchen comprises the main church and a chapel which are connected by a common foyer with the sacristy. The foyer area and the sacristy were built as a reinforced concrete building. Main church and chapel are differently sized timber structures and take the form of inclined truncated cones with an elliptical footprint.

This slender timber pedestrian bridge was constructed over the Bow River in Banff. The town of Banff is Canada’s first national park located in the beautiful Canadian Rockies. At 4 m wide and 113 m long, the bridge is complete with an 80 m clear span which is perhaps the longest of its kind for a timber bridge.

Within a short period of time, a modern aluminium structure with sophisticated building services was constructed for the company Hydro Aluminium in Grevenbroich.

The construction project on the premises near Düsseldorf covers approximately a length of 220 m and a width of 120 m. It includes various connecting bridges to the existing premises, a three-aisled production hall with outbuildings as well as a 100 m long and 30 m high high-rack warehouse which was constructed in slipform paving technology.

The bridge construction of Isarsteg as integrating artwork fits perfectly into the surrounding landscape. Taking nature as an example, the bridge overspans the Isar river like a branched limb. The ramps, stairs, columns and horizontal beams represent together the spatial framework. The pedestrian and cycle bridge, in total 160 m long, was made of weather-resistant structural steel S355 J2G2W (corten steel).

SWE-Eurodrive GmbH & Co. KG, a German family-owned company operating in the area of drive technology, expands its plant until 2019 at Graben-Neudorf. The existing plant with a size of 110,000 m² will almost be doubled. The main components of the extension is a factory building, a combined pedestrian and media bridge as well as a road bridge.

The new bridge replaces the existing Hervester Bridge No. 423, which was classified as dilapidated. After the assembly at the bank, it was pushed over the Wesel-Datteln Canal step by step. A pontoon boat was used here to move the structure to the other bank.

The Steigerwald is after the Spessart the second largest deciduous forest area in Bavaria. 300-year-old beeches, amongst the oldest in Germany, soar into the sky with more than 40 metres.

The theatre built from 1911 to 1913 has a varied history. The building was destroyed by the Allied air attacks in February 1945, reconstructed in the post‑war years, and damaged by floods in August 2002. Within an 18‑week break, the Dresden theatre has been was extensively renovated and modernized.
