The Funke Media Group headquartered in Essen, Germany, initiated a new corporate headquarters construction project to accommodate around 1,000 employees at an important traffic junction in the city centre. The complex consists of three buildings with a gross floor area of 37,000 m² in total as well as a parking garage for about 300 cars.

Witteveen+Bos performed a seismic analysis on an existing concrete foundation with piers located in the Netherlands. The connected steel pipe rack and piping system were also included in the analysis.

Utilizing a multimodal response spectrum analysis in RFEM, Witteveen+Bos specified a unique response spectra to analyze the structural response induced by this seismic activity.

The Landslide Hotel is located near the Rotterdam Airport. The multi-storey reinforced concrete structure was designed by the engineering office Van Numen from Rosmalen, The Netherlands, and the structural anlalysis was performed utilizing RFEM.

A spectacular viewing platform visible from afar is the architectural highlight of the Meixi International New City, a city expansion of Changsa, China. The conical-shaped double helix with a height of 30 m provides a 360-degree view including the artificial Meixi lake which covers a 40 ha area.

A kindergarten, designed according to Building Information Modeling (BIM), is currently under construction in the Tyrolean municipality of Schwoich. The digital 3D model accompanies the construction project from design until completion.

The architectural planning has been performed with Autodesk Revit. The structural model, including cross-sections, materials, loads, etc., has been exported to RFEM with the direct interface and designed there.

The bridge construction of Isarsteg as integrating artwork fits perfectly into the surrounding landscape. Taking nature as an example, the bridge overspans the Isar river like a branched limb. The ramps, stairs, columns and horizontal beams represent together the spatial framework. The pedestrian and cycle bridge, in total 160 m long, was made of weather-resistant structural steel S355 J2G2W (corten steel).

The Études Techniques Lyonnaises engineering office was in charge of planning and structural design of the foundation of an industrial site’s new unloading area in the Isère department in France.

The new unloading area consists of a steel framework built on a base slab. The total area is divided into two parts: a traffic and unloading zone for rail cars, and an area with a pit and a traffic zone for lift trucks.

The wildlife crossing AM2 has been built with a construction method for concrete shell structures called Pneumatic Forming of Hardened Concrete (PFHC). This new method has been developed by the TU Wien in the context of the research project "Double Curved Shell Structures".

In Roost, Luxembourg, a new building complex relating to cars is built. There will be up to six car dealerships, a car park, and a paint shop built on the site. The construction project was divided into two planning phases. The first phase includes three multi‑storey car dealerships with the same type of the supporting structure.
