Timber Veil of TD Place Stadium in Ottawa, Canada

Following remodeling, the TD Place Stadium in Canada’s capital Ottawa can hold up to 24,000 visitors. The sports complex is located at Lansdowne Park and is primarily used for Canadian football and soccer. The architectural highlight of the stadium is the curvilinear timber veil.

St. Josef Parish Church in Holzkirchen, Germany

The project St. Josef in Holzkirchen comprises the main church and a chapel which are connected by a common foyer with the sacristy. The foyer area and the sacristy were built as a reinforced concrete building. Main church and chapel are differently sized timber structures and take the form of inclined truncated cones with an elliptical footprint.

Macallan Distillery, Scotland

After three years of construction, the new production of the renowned Scottish whisky maker Macallan was completed in May 2018. The company building has a spectacular roof structure which fits perfectly into the surrounding landscape. The green roof spans over a length of more than 200 m. It consists of five domes with tapered off canopy.

Look-Out Tower Krkonoše, Czech Republic

The tree-top trail in the Giant Mountains (Czech: Krkonoše) is the second experience path of eak (Erlebnis Akademie AG) in the Czech Republic.

Over a length of 1500 m, it twists through the treetops of the mixed mountain forest. It ends at a look-out tower with a height of around 43 m, and its platform offers a breathtaking view over the Krkonoše National Park.

Hervester Bridge No. 423 Across the Wesel-Datteln Canal

The new bridge replaces the existing Hervester Bridge No. 423, which was classified as dilapidated. After the assembly at the bank, it was pushed over the Wesel-Datteln Canal step by step. A pontoon boat was used here to move the structure to the other bank.

The new awning for the filling station of GULFIN Cameroun in Douala, an oil company, is a particular structure with eccentric columns and non-symmetric cantilevered 6.5 m long beams.

Look-Out Tower at Treetop Path Steigerwald

The look-out tower with a height of over 40 m is located in Ebrach (Upper Franconia), in the heart of the Steigerwald. The Steigerwald is after the Spessart the second largest deciduous forest area in Bavaria. 300-year-old beeches, amongst the oldest in Germany, soar into the sky with more than 40 metres.

Free-Form Glass Structure at Xujiahui Commercial Center in Shanghai, China

A remarkable free‑form roof structure was built at the Xujiahui Commercial Center in Shanghai, China, and inaugurated in June 2017. It serves as a skylight in the indoor area of the shopping center, and as a canopy in the outdoor area.

The theatre built from 1911 to 1913 has a varied history. The building was destroyed by the Allied air attacks in February 1945, reconstructed in the post‑war years, and damaged by floods in August 2002. Within an 18‑week break, the Dresden theatre has been was extensively renovated and modernized.
