Timber Structure Analysis Package Including Add-on Modules of RX-TIMBER Program Family: Glued-Laminated Beam, Continuous Beam and Column

The stand‑alone program package RX‑TIMBER designs glued‑laminated beams, continuous beams, and columns at the ultimate and the serviceability limit state according to the timber standard EN 1995‑1‑1:2010‑12/NA:2013‑08 (EC 5) and DIN 1052:2008‑12 .

In addition, it is possible to perform fire resistance design according to EN 1995‑1‑2 or DIN 4102, Part 22.

  1. 1.1 Beam Type and Material

    Glulam Beams

    RX-TIMBER Glued-Laminated Beam designs wide-span glulam beams of eight different beam types (parallel, monopitch roof, double tapered beam, and others).

    It is possible to consider typical stiffening elements for transversal tension, for example bonded steel bars.

  2. 1.3 Cross-Section

    RX-TIMBER Continuous Beam

    RX-TIMBER Continuous Beam designs single-span and continuous beams as well as hinged girder systems (Gerber) with or without cantilevers.

  3. 1.1 System

    Column Design

    RX-TIMBER Column designs hinged columns (optionally with elastic head or footing restraint) and brackets (optionally with elastic foundation of the footing column).

    The program provides round and rectangular cross‑sections.

  4. 1.1 Frame Type and Material

    Further Programs

    Four further programs are available: RX-TIMBER Purlin designs coupled purlins and continuous beams, RX-TIMBER Frame designs three‑hinged frames, RX‑TIMBER Brace designs truss bracing, and RX‑TIMBER Roof designs monopitch and duopitch roofs.

    These programs are not included in the RX‑TIMBER Package.
