10 quick questions for Denisa Thiess | Sales representative
Work at Dlubal Software
What is it like to work at Dlubal Software? What experience have our colleagues had? Here you can read the answers of some of our employees.
1. Who are you and what do you do?
My name is Denisa, I'm 27 years old, and I work at Dlubal Software for a year.
2. What education do you have and how did you come to Dlubal Software?
I was trained as a businesswoman for office management in Germany and I found Dlubal Software easily on the Internet.
3. What are your tasks?
I work in the Sales department. I create all invoices, accounts payable, licensing. I am also responsible for online training. I assist Tanja Schneider with management, preparations for trade fairs, and hotline.
4. What is important in your job?
What I really like is the diversity. I have different customers every day. There can be a lot of challenge.
4. What are you looking forward to when you come into work in the morning?
As I said, it's the work diversity. My colleagues are very nice and we are a good team that sticks together and communicates well with each another. I think that's very important and nice.
6. What was the best experience so far?
When I started to worke here one year ago, I actually only met a few people. At some point the day came when Corona was, so to speak, "over" in the summer and I could finally see everyone who works here. I was so happy to finally get to know the faces of the people I used to talk to on the phone. That was really nice.
7. What is your hobby and how can it be combined with your job?
I do fitness, I like to read, and I also paint. It combines quite well with the job. In the afternoon after work, I do fitness. At the weekend, I read or paint. That’s okay.
8. What advice would you give to young people for the future?
There are two keywords that will stay with us for a very long time. That's technology and sustainability. We have to work on connecting that.
9. What is your favorite building?
It is the project called MOSE (Modulo Sperimentale Elettromeccanico). It's in Venice, Italy. There are canal locks located in the sea. The more water comes towards Venice, the more it will increase due to the compressed air. This should completely prevent flooding the city. I am so excited about this project. They are only doing tests now, because it is not yet a hundred per cent in operation. This is the greatest thing there can be, because floods have been a problem for Venice for centuries. Since the 1950s, there have been around 20 flood events. In fact, that's a problem, otherwise the whole city would sink.
