Which Poisson's ratio should I enter for cross-laminated timber in the Orthotropic material?

Answer

The selection of Poisson's ratio is not clearly regulated. In the case of a primarily plate-like load, the transverse elongation can be set to zero in an approximation. In the case of a great shear distortion or torsion, it is recommended to enter a higher Poisson's ratio in the main load-bearing direction.
