What Poisson's ratio should I enter for cross-laminated timber in the case of orthotrop material?

Answer

The selection of Poisson's ratio is not clearly regulated. If a plate is primarily loaded, the Poisson's ratio is approximatelly zero. In the case of a great shear strain or torsion, it is recommended to enter a higher Poisson's ration in the main load-bearing direction.
