Using Automatic Combinations

For the superposition or combination of loads, the German standard DIN 18008 refers to DIN 1055‑100. This also applies for the individual parameters of climatic loads to be transferred. In this case, it is possible to summarize the temperature change and meteorological pressure change in a single load and to define the local altitude change as a permanent load.

In order to meet this standard requirement, you can use the automatic combinations from RFEM to determine the required combinations. In this case, the local altitude difference is assigned to permanent loads, and the pressure and temperature difference to temperature loads. Thus, the required combination coefficients are automatically selected in the correct way. After generating the load combinations, you can select them for design in RF‑GLASS.

Then, the climatic loads are assigned to load cases in Table 1.6.
