Calculation Diagram Type "2D | Story"
The "2D | Story" calculation diagram type is used to create result diagrams via the building axis. This allows you to easily analyze the behavior of the entire building under static and dynamic effects.
You can use this diagram type, for example, to visualize the seismic force over the building height.
Plate girder is an economical choice for long spans construction. I-section steel plate girder typically has a deep web to maximize its shear capacity and flange separation, yet thin web to minimize the self-weight. Due to its large height-to-thickness (h/tw) ratio, transverse stiffeners may be required to stiffen the slender web.
The structural analysis program RFEM 6 is the basis of a modular software system. The main program RFEM 6 is used to define structures, materials, and loads of planar and spatial structural systems consisting of plates, walls, shells, and members. The program can also design combined structures as well as solid and contact elements.
