I chose Dlubal's RFEM for the dimensioning of our timber structures, concrete structures and steel engineering, as well as masonry, aluminum, etc. As a structural engineering/facade design office working with all materials, RFEM is particularly well suited to my way of working: powerful 3D modeling, connection management and load combination control, surface/solid models, ultra-customizable automatic report generation, with the ability to build template libraries according to client requests, connections with other software such as Revit, Rhino 3D/Grasshopper, etc.
The interface is clear and intuitive; input data and post-processing information are presented transparently and can be modified for readability and understanding, in order to make oneself understood.
Finally, Dlubal offers regular webinars that are very useful for training, along with a responsive and competent hotline, which guarantees us operational support on a daily basis. The software is updated very regularly, with follow-up on engineers' requests and good responsiveness, not to mention the add-on modules that expand over time.
In short, with RFEM, you know you're investing in software that will evolve, already very complete, carefully nurtured by the development teams to provide the best solution for structural engineers.
