The Skywalk Allgäu is an impressive 500 m long walkway, which is distributed between 15 and 30 m above the ground, between the treetops of the Allgäu Alps. The circular route, at about 1000 m above sea level, combines innovative cable and suspension bridge structures, supported by 14 cable-stayed masts. A 50-meter-high lookout tower allows for a wide view of the Alps, the Alpine foothills, and Lake Constance. The structural analysis of the steel structure was carried out using RFEM from Meyer+Schubart (© Meyer+Schubart), Wunstorf.
