The high-altitude, three-cable carway “Matterhorn glacier ride” opened at the end of September 2018 and increases the transport capacity to the 3,902 m high Klein Matterhorn. The structural project, which cost CHF 55 million, was designed by Indermühle Bauingenieure and included the creation of an RFEM model for the mountain and valley stations.
