The model combines an archaeological excavation site, a market hall, an urban open-air venue, and an impressive timber shading structure with an integrated restaurant and viewing paths. The supporting structure is based on a hybrid structure made of timber, concrete, steel, and steel composite. Timber structures, detailed structural analysis, and design checks are shown by way of example, including the RFEM design of an approx. 4 m x 6 m wall (© Finnforest). Finnforest and Aichach represent excellent engineering skills in an international context. Further notes include Spanish influence as well as applications for laminate and sandwich structures.
