In Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, a 2,400-tonne mosque was moved over a distance of 120 meters. This was the first time that a complete building had been transported in Saudi Arabia. The company Techniek en Methode B.V. from the Netherlands developed the analytical models in RFEM for the various transportation phases of the 40 cm thick foundation slab.
