The steel boiler supporting structure is the main bracing element for a coal-fired power plant in Tamil Nadu, India. With dimensions of 30.5 m x 30.5 m x 124.0 m, it carries loads of up to 46,000 t together with the boiler ceiling. Voss & Kamb und Partner GmbH in Kaiserslautern designed the structural design and joints. The model and deformation figures were created using RSTAB (www.voka-kl.com).
