Description

When connecting tension-loaded structural members with bolted connections, the cross-section weakening due to the bolt holes must be considered in the ultimate limit state design. This model shows how the design of the tension resistance according to DIN EN 1993-1-1 with the net cross-sectional area of the tension member can be performed in the RF-/STEEL EC3 add-on module.
