This model presents how a beam can realistically take into account the influence of the subsoil by defining an elastic foundation. The example shows how settlements and deflections can be integrated into the modeling. A uniform load is applied to the strip foundation, allowing the settlement and vibration behavior to be analyzed in detail. The application is limited to “Beam” member types.
