Description
The Tokyo Skytree is a broadcasting and observation tower in Sumida, Tokyo. It has been the tallest structure in Japan since 2010 and the second tallest structure in the world. Tokyo Skytree's full height is 364 meters. The model presents the tower in wind tunnel simulation in RWIND 2 software.

Saving Models as Blocks in RFEM 6
In RFEM 6 it is possible to save selected objects, as well as whole structures, as blocks and reuse them in other models. Three types of blocks can be distinguished: non-parameterized, parameterized, and dynamic blocks (via JavaScript). This article will focus on the first block type (non-parameterized).

Members of triangular and quadrilateral lattice towers are allocated automatically provided that the lattice tower has been generated in the RF-/TOWER Structure and RF-/TOWER Equipment add-on modules.
However, it is also possible to allocate the members manually. In RF-/TOWER Design, you can use the effective lengths of truss members generated in the RF-/TOWER Effective Lengths add-on module. A manual input is also possible.
According to EN 1993-3-1 and EN 50341 standards, you can specify various bracing cases and support types for members of legs and bracing.
- How do I create a user-defined Design Situation with my own chosen load combinations?
- How do I apply wind load on members of open structures?
- Is it also possible to use RF‑/TOWER Loading without the other TOWER add-on modules?
- How do I create a frame joint with taper in JOINTS Steel - Rigid?
- When calculating a cable using the STEEL EC3 add‑on module, there is the error message "Incorrect characteristic stresses for material No. 1! Please correct this in Table 1.2."
- How can I create a drilled beam in RFEM?
- In connection with a calculation according to the large deformation analysis, I get significantly smaller deformations than for a calculation according to the linear static or second-order analysis. How is this possible?
- I would like to extend an existing structure with a false ceiling that is not connected to the existing columns. How can I model it?
- For line releases, I obtain the resultants in the horizontal direction, which I cannot understand.
- How can I display wind speeds at a certain height above the ground for a wind comfort analysis?
