ATP architekten ingenieure is an Austrian customer of Dlubal, working in Innsbruck. It has designed a special project for Markus Handl Beteiligung GmbH, a speck producer in Pians, Tyrol, Austria. The new building of the trading company has in-house production, supplying upscale restaurants and hotels. It includes one of the world's largest continuous cross-laminated timber panels, with a total area of about 6,996 square feet.
A modern 6-seater chairlift called sixpack Mooslehen opened in Filzmoos, Austria on December 17, 2021, right on time for the start of the ski season. The construction time for the entire project was only six months. The company m3-ZT, an Austrian customer of Dlubal, was responsible for the structural analysis, using the FEA program RFEM.
The construction of a 328-foot-high tower at an altitude of about 6,890 ft above sea level is a particularly challenging task. A project of this type was realized in September 2020 in the area of the "Windsfeld" summit in Flachau / Flachauwinkl, Austria. The met mast is one of the tallest structures in Austria.
The Somnium is an accessible roof garden located on the TNF tower (Faculty of Engineering Natural Sciences Tower - TNF) of the Johannes Kepler University Linz (JKU).
The village center in Kappl, Tyrol, Austria includes three separate structures forming a U shape. The total area of all three components is 911,118 ft³ and includes a café, retail shops, and visitors' center, as well as a large multipurpose hall.
The pedestrian bridge over the Taffa River functions not only as a bridge, but includes a garden toolshed and seating along the platform. Additionally, the delicate top truss chords provide a pedestrian railing along the bridge's length.
A kindergarten, designed according to Building Information Modeling (BIM), is currently under construction in the Tyrolean municipality of Schwoich. The digital 3D model accompanies the construction project from design until completion.
The architectural planning was performed with Autodesk Revit. The structural model, including cross-sections, materials, loads, and so on, was exported to RFEM with the direct interface and designed there.
Wildlife crossing AM2 was built with a construction method for concrete shell structures called Pneumatic Forming of Hardened Concrete (PFHC). This new method was developed by TU Wien in the context of the research project titled "Double Curved Shell Structures."
The "Pneumatic Wedge Method" is a new method for the construction of double-curved concrete surfaces using pneumatic formwork. The advantage of this method is that elaborate structures for molds and scaffolding are no longer needed.
Using the "Pneumatic Wedge Method", the Vienna University of Technology has built a double-curved concrete shell as part of a research project. The deformation process and the final structural conditions have been checked with RFEM.
A family house with a remarkable roof structure was built in Upper Austria in 2014. The circle in the center of the building is spanned by a tented roof. It was built as a visible wooden structure, and together with the light‑flooded glass facade, it is a real eye‑catcher.
In June 2013, one of the world's highest timber lookout structures opened on the Pyramidenkogel, a mountain in Carinthia, Austria. The tower, including the spire, is 328 ft high. It has four accessible viewing platforms, one closed and three open, offering a breathtaking view over the Alps-Adriatic region and the lakes of Carinthia.
The fourteen-story hotel directly faces Olympia World, Tyrol's largest sports and event center. The building represents one of the highest structures in the beautiful Alpine city of Innsbruck. Entering the terrace on the eleventh floor, visitors enjoy a breathtaking panorama of the Tyrolean mountains and the Bergiselschanze, a world-famous ski jumping hill which is part of the annual International Four Hills Tournament.
In autumn 2012, construction started in Wörgl, Austria for an apartment complex that was, by request of the building owner, completely planned and designed as a BIM model, including structural analysis, work planning, call for tenders, and so on.
For this purpose, software tools from the company bimm GmbH were used, by which architects, structural engineers, and building engineers could work together efficiently on a 3D model. RFEM and the Autodesk programs Revit Architecture and Revit Structure, to which Dlubal has a direct interface, served as the basic software for this project.
The G3 Shopping Resort in Gerasdorf, in the north of Vienna, opened in 2012. At the time, it was the largest cross-laminated timber project ever, and Europe's largest timber construction site.
