Steel Single-Shaft Antenna Tower

The subject of the bachelor’s thesis is the design and assessment of the structure of a steel single-shaft antenna mast with a height of 35 m. The structure is modeled using the computational program Dlubal RFEM, from which the internal forces and deformations for further assessment are obtained, and a modal analysis is performed. Part of the thesis is a detailed analysis of the wind load, including the influence of dynamic effects, especially vortex shedding. Furthermore, an assessment of the global load-bearing capacity of the structure and local stability is carried out, with a focus on shell buckling. Key construction details are also assessed, especially the moment-resisting flange connections of the individual mast sections and its anchoring into the concrete foundation. The erection connection was also modeled in Dlubal RFEM for comparison with the manual calculation.
