This master’s thesis is devoted to the interdisciplinary topic of integrating modern generative algorithms and advanced parametric modeling techniques with engineering analysis of the stability and strength of large-span steel structures.

The main research and application objective of this study was to create a coherent, automated design environment that allows for the simultaneous generation, geometric and material optimization, and full structural verification of spherical shell structures subjected to standard climatic loads.

The theoretical part of the study involved a detailed review of the literature on the evolution of the topology of steel dome structures, analyzing the distribution of internal forces, the mechanics of shell structures, and modern node-based technologies used in free-form architecture.

The research and design section is based on specific engineering assumptions for a large-span dome over a sports facility located in Gostyń, in snow and wind load zone I according to the Eurocodes.
