Technology Meets Practice – Every Day
Fabian supports engineers from all over the world in properly implementing their projects with Dlubal Software. "I help customers avoid application errors and calculate their structures efficiently," he explains.
Varied Workday
Sometimes he talks to customers on the phone to clarify open questions, sometimes he tests models in RFEM or creates development orders.
No matter what the task, the focus is always on the goal: finding technical solutions that work in real life.
Unforgettable Project
A highlight of Fabian's work was modeling and design of a complete steel truss bridge.
“The project was exciting, because there were many complicated steel joints that were not easy to calculate – and the customer was not familiar with the calculation details.”
After an initial phone call, it was time to ‘’'get down to business'‘’:
Together with the customer, Fabian discussed model options, explained the background to the calculation, and noted possible sources of error. The result: a robust, correctly calculated model – and a satisfied customer.
Equipped with Theory – Practice on Job
Fabian's mechanical engineering degree with a specialization in simulation methods gave him a solid technical foundation – particularly in steel and aluminum structure and numerical methods.
But it was only on the job that he learned how crucial communication is: with customers, with colleagues, with superiors.
And also how important it is to find pragmatic solutions instead of getting lost in perfection.
Team Scoring 10 Out of 10 Points
Fabian appreciates the atmosphere in the Leipzig office.
“The team is super relaxed and open-minded. You are welcomed right away and never left to deal with a problem on your own.”
The mix of experienced and young colleagues ensures a constant exchange of knowledge – and a lot of fun in everyday work. Joint activities and company outings are part of this.
