This ambitious project combines the modernization of the Pierre Menanteau School Complex and the construction of a state-of-the-art multi-purpose hall that meets the latest environmental and structural standards.
𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀
School Complex Extension:
🔹 Addition of two new classrooms
🔹 A redesigned courtyard, including an educational garden
Multi-Purpose Hall Construction:
🔹 Flexible spaces with movable partitions for school activities, sports, events, and more
🔹 Energy-efficient design with biobased materials such as straw and wood fiber
🔹 Photovoltaic panels for sustainable energy generation
𝗪𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲
🔹 130 m³ of timber used, including 1,207 m² of timber frame walls and 1,140 m² of cladding
🔹 Laminated timber frameworks spanning 18 m with a height of 7 m, braced by timber frame walls
𝗦𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘀𝗶𝘀 𝗦𝗼𝗳𝘁𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲
The LCA Construction Bois engineering team used RFEM 5 for global modeling and RF-TIMBER Pro for the design of laminated timber frameworks, ensuring compliance with EN 1995. A seismic analysis was performed using RF-DYNAM PRO, as the project is located in seismic zone 3.
