New Project Highlight: Rectangular Steel Tank Design by TIM Global Engineering 🚀
We are thrilled to share the latest project from our customer, TIM Global Engineering, who successfully carried out the structural design for several rectangular welded tanks made of stainless steel and carbon steel. These tanks, varying in size and volume, are located in an industrial plant and play a key role in various industrial processes.
Highlights of the project:
✅ Geometric and material nonlinear analysis with imperfections (GMNIA) for the design
✅ Compliance with Eurocode for load combinations, material models, and design rules
✅ Dynamic analyses for tanks in seismic zones to ensure safety and resilience
✅ Realistic support behavior modeled using 1D finite elements for the steel structure and 2D finite elements for the tanks themselves
This project showcases how advanced structural modeling and design principles are applied to ensure efficiency and reliability in critical industrial infrastructure.
