In Londrina, Brazil, the engineering firm MSE Engenharia has developed a steel structure inspired by a tree-like form to support photovoltaic panels; it combines sustainability, structural performance, and visual expression.
The complete structural solution was modeled and analyzed in 𝗥𝗙𝗘𝗠 𝟲, with particular attention given to the interaction between the global structural behavior and the connections. A key element of the design is the tubular support base, which was modeled and verified using the 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀 add-on. This workflow enables consistent and realistic representation of joint stiffness and force transfer in the overall structural model. 🤝
