A new tennis hall was built above an existing court in Fürth (Odenwald), featuring a glued-laminated timber structure with an 18 m span and dimensions of 36 × 18 m.
The structure was analyzed in RFEM by GRELLA Hochbau GmbH, who modeled the timber members and pile cap as a surface model.
🌲 Structural concept
Loads are transferred through purlins, beams, and trusses to timber columns, with timber frames providing longitudinal bracing and steel diagonals ensuring transverse stability.
⚙️ Smart foundation
The hall stands on micro screw piles, eliminating heavy earthworks and providing an efficient solution for lightweight structures and challenging soil conditions.
