Training Objectives

To provide the trainees with the necessary tools to use RSTAB for simple projects

Time Schedule

  • Presentations and explanations of the functions using the software and the training manual
  • Systematic request for a trainee to test the software
  • Practical exercises followed by discussions on the difficulties encountered

Introduction to the utilization of RSTAB
  • User interface (menus, toolbars, display customization)
  • Block Manager
  • Project Manager (archive, history, and so on)
Presentation of the main features/functions of the program
  • Automatic generation of load and result combinations
  • Automatic definition of climatic loads
  • Relative or absolute eccentricity
  • Inserting or creating parameterized models
Several practical exercises
  • Modeling entered by keyboard or graphic interface
  • Definition of support conditions
  • Loading a model
  • Selection of the method of analysis (geometrically linear analysis, second-order analysis, and so on)
  • Calculations
  • Result interpretation
  • Evaluating and sharing result data (Excel export, table synchronization, and graphic display, and so on)
  • Editing calculation notes (output of serial diagrams, selection of items, .pdf or .rtf output, selection of languages, and so on)
Assessment of learning outcomes

Notes

During the training, each participant will be appointed a single workstation with a personal computer. In addition, participants receive a bag containing the training manual.

Additional Information

  • The minimum number per session is 4 participants.
  • The training is provided in French.
  • Each trainee will receive a certificate upon completion.
