Training Objectives
To provide the trainees with the necessary tools to use RFEM/RSTAB for simple project analyses according to Eurocode 3 and the National Annexes.
Time Schedule
- Presentations and explanations of the functions using the software and the training manual
- Systematic request for a trainee to test the software
- Practical exercises followed by discussions on the difficulties encountered

- Scope of Eurocode 3
- Selecting steel qualities with regard to the strength and properties
- Instability of members and plates
- Elastic and plastic analysis
- Method of analysis (concept of second-order effect and consideration criteria)
- Global and local imperfections
- ULS design
- SLS design
- Fire resistance design
- Example of assembly check and brief presentation of add-on modules
- Exercises using practical examples
- Discussion of questions related to the difficulties encountered during the exercises
Notes
During the training, each participant will be appointed a single workstation with a personal computer. In addition, participants receive a bag containing the training manual.
Other Information
- The minimum number per session is 4 participants.
- The training is provided in French.
- Each trainee will receive a certificate upon completion.
