This tutorial shows how the resultant is calculated in the structural analysis software RFEM.
The example of the house from the previous videos of the resultant is initially drawn in RFEM.

Afterwards, the same member loads are created. Pay attention to the member direction and the local z-axis. They are significant for the applied loading direction.
This relationship is also illustrated in this video.

After this, the graphical and analytical methods are checked in the program.
Then we continue to experiment in RFEM. Adding another member load rotates and displaces the resultant. The new resultant R2 is now created.

It consists of the new member load and the old resultant R1.
This calculation is also explained in written format both graphically and analytically.
