The member boundary conditions have a decisive influence on the ideal critical moment for lateral-torsional buckling Mcr. During the determination, a planar member model with four degrees of freedom is created within the program. The corresponding coefficients kz and kw can be adjusted to represent frequently used cases. In this way, it is possible to describe the degrees of freedom that are included in the stability analysis for lateral -torsional buckling from the support conditions at the member ends.
