We provide hints and tips to help you get started with the RFEM program.
What does a bionic structure mean?
Video
First Steps with RFEM
Description
"In order to achieve greater stability and structural efficiency, engineers use nature as an inspiration for their design. Considering the level of sustainability in biological systems, they analyze their structural behavior, browse for compatible analogies with technical systems, abstract the observed physical and mechanical principles, and implement these principles into the final product. This process defines the bionic design approach. The term “bionics” refers to the scientific discipline that addresses the transfer of properties from biology to technology." - Ismail Hmidet, Bionic Design: Architectural Innovations Inspired by Nature, 2020.

Interfaces with RFEM 6: Autodesk Revit
This article provides some general information about the interface as well as the Dlubal-relevant structural objects and parameters in Revit.
- I am trying to import a DXF file. The file can be imported into the model, but it does not have the correct scale. Where is the problem?
- Can I export a response spectrum from RFEM 6 and use it in RFEM 5, for example?
- I cannot open RFEM and RSTAB anymore: nothing happens when double-clicking the icon! Also, no error message is displayed. Restarting the computer did not help, either.
- Where can I download the current program version?
- Which packages are available for the Geo-Zone Tool?
- In the newsletter, you mention support via chat. Where can I find the corresponding chat window?
- The cross-sections from my imported IFC file are not converted correctly.
- When importing a cross-section from RSECTION 1, I get an error message regarding the version. What can I do?
- There are no automatic load combinations created. What can I do?
- My old model is suddenly unstable. What can be the reason?
