RFEM allows for the consideration of non-linearities in the time history analysis by using a nonlinear implicit Newmark solver. In contrast, RSTAB uses an explicit solver for calculations according to the linear static and large deformation analysis. In this way, for example, failing tension members and supports can now also realistically be taken into account in the time history analysis.
