Calculation of Insulating Glass in 2D or 3D

Is it possible to calculate insulating glass units made of laminated safety glass in 2D using RF-GLASS in RFEM 5, or are solids always used automatically for insulating glass?

Answer:

In RFEM 5, the insulating glass units with consideration of the shear coupling are always calculated with solids. If you disable the shear coupling, you can calculate with surface elements.
